Upon retiring from the Air Force he decided to pursue a career in the Financial Services Industry.  He started at a small firm in Charlotte, NC called Dickenson & Co before moving to Charleston in 1995 where he joined Solomon Smith Barney.  He was with them for 13 years where he feels he was fortunate to be around some of the best and most experienced people in the industry.  In 2007 Ed moved to Wachovia Securities, which merged with Wells Fargo Advisors.  Ed joined Compass Investment Advisors, LLC in August of 2015.

Ed takes a holistic approach to client needs, specializing in retirement, education, life and long term care insurance.  His greatest pleasure is working with clients to build long-term relationships and in many cases lasting friendships.

Ed has always believed in giving back to the community.  Over the years he has been involved in coaching youth soccer and baseball, delivering Meals on Wheels to the elderly and disabled, participating in many fundraising activities, and has been active in the church.

Ed has been married to his wife Leslie for over 46 years.  They have three grown children and nine grandchildren.  Ed enjoys spending time with family, especially taking the grands boating and tubing.  He loves to play golf and also watching it.  In addition, he enjoys spending time with friends, watching college football, and sitting down with a good book.
